Sparks Group in partnership with a financial services company is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Product Engineering. As the VP, Strategic Product Engineering, you will be responsible for leading in house development and support of all internally developed applications in a specific area as well as support the migration to Cloud based computing. Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee development, maintenance, and support, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Collaboration: Foster teamwork and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Team Development: Enhance team skills through training plans, development targets, and performance feedback.
- Quality and Productivity: Monitor metrics, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and productivity.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related field
- 5- 7 years related IT experience in analysis, design, development, documentation, implementing and testing of software systems in Java, Spring, J2EE App servers on Red Hat Linux, UNIX or AIX
- Experience managing agile development projects and Waterfall development methodologies
- Experience with complex, mission critical system design and evaluating and proposing alternative software designs
- Knowledgeable in Software Reliability Engineering, test automation and CI/CD processes and tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar Cube, Fortify, etc.
