About the Position
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this role will develop and execute our commercial sales strategies, with a strong focus on delivering value to our clients, fostering long-term relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. The Vice President, U.S. Commercial Sales will be instrumental in driving NAC's commercial success by expanding market share for its products and services while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the nuclear industry to position the company for sustained, long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities and key markets for expansion, positioning NAC as a leader in the nuclear energy industry.
- Create annual sales targets and booking objectives across all Business Units, integrating when possible, and in support of the Company's business plan.
- Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with current and prospective customers, ensuring NAC is positioned as their preferred partner for their fuel cycle and waste management needs Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to adapt strategies and recommend new approaches for growth.
- Support proposal development and sales activities for all business units and NAC companies.
- Lead negotiations of customer contracts, including pricing, terms and conditions, and ensuring agreements align with business objectives.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on sales performance and market opportunities to the CCO.
- Represent NAC at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company's brand and strengthen market presence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sales Management, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in commercial sales or business development in the nuclear energy or energy-related industry.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth, developing new markets, and negotiating complex contracts.
- Strong knowledge of the nuclear energy industry and its regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a strategic role while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel for multiple night trips, approximately 50% of the year.
