GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for daily management of the Nisqually Family Support Center's Victims of Crime Program. The program offers victims of crime and domestic violence program services, operations, and administrative duties. The Manager strives to provide comprehensive victim services that are conducive to healing, wellness and empowerment. They also supervise staff, build effective partnerships, and manage grants and budgets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform. - Manages the Victims of Crime program to offer culturally relevant services including safety planning, in-take, case-management, shelter/housing, basic needs,
- counseling/therapy, child counseling, advocacy, access to legal support, medical services, transportation, etc.
- Provides staff with clear direction, support, training and resources to assist them with providing high-quality services to clients.
- Actively identifies and builds strong partnerships and/or professional services contracts with service providers to increase client access to needed services such as: counseling/therapy, legal assistance, medical services, transportation, advocacy, shelter, vocational services, life-skills, and healthy families training, etc.
- Effectively manages grants and funding to meet grant deliverables, communicates with funders, establishes timelines for grant and project implementation and meets reporting and compliance requirements.
- Holds regular check-ins with staff to assign tasks, review progress, address challenges and implements contingency plans as needed.
- Ensures program expenses meet accounting policies, grant requirements, rules and regulations and stays updated on any changes thereto.
- Develops and implements program policies and procedures as needed to comply with organizational policy and procedure as well as Tribal, Federal, State, Local laws, and guidelines for serving victims of crime and domestic violence.
- Keeps the program visible to clients and the community with newsletter updates, announcements, flyers, updated brochures, website content and other program literature.
- Stays informed on trends/best practices, innovations, resources, funding opportunities and legislation related to victims and victims' services.
- Attends online and in-person training, maintains certifications in victim services and works with staff to keep their certifications up-to-date and supports their participation in other training sessions, meetings or workshops relevant to their position.
- Participates in local meetings, networks and attends regional, state-wide, national or tribal convenings.
- Participates in conferences, or trainings as approved and/or as required by program grants.
- Coordinates implementation and use of a program database. Works with I.T. and/or contractor to keep database updated and to provide staff training and orientation on its use. Ensures staff routinely utilize database to keep track of services provided, client demographics, referrals made, etc.
- Prepares and submits program reports to Tribal Administration, and Tribal Council as needed.
- Coordinates program assessments to review degree to which clients' needs are being met, to identify unmet needs, to gather feedback on services provided, rate satisfaction with services, and to identify how the program can better serve their needs/help them achieve their goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human services, Social Services or related field; and equivalent of two years' experience working with domestic violence survivors.
- Minimum of three years' experience with program management.
- Must have experience leading, managing, and supervising staff.
- Must have experience managing and developing programs and budgets. Ability to navigate multiple systems, to ensure streamlined services. Experience working with culturally diverse populations/communities.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a valid Washington State driver's license and be insurable under the Tribe's driving policy.
SUPERVISION
Supervises Victims of Crime Coordinator and other program positions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is generally sedentary. Employee sits most of the time but may walk or stand for brief periods. Must be able to operate a personal computer and related office equipment necessary to perform the primary responsibilities of the job.
