- Knowledge of and ability to electrically interconnect any equipment used in the studio or in the performance of the duties of the position - Experience in effectively managing multiple tasks and responsibilities - Excellent people, written, oral communication, and presentation skills required - Experience with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Production Suite, Broadcast Pix, Tricaster, Xen Data Storage, Ultra-Nexus HD server or other related tools - Strong communication, problem-solving, and planning skills ```{=html} ``` - The Video Broadcasting Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing engaging and accurate video content that supports the educational, social, and cultural objectives of Southeastern Community College and the Columbus County community
The coordinator also oversees the colleges television broadcasting studio/student learning lab and PEG channel, acts as a liaison to local cable companies
Provides assistance in teaching and providing hands-on learning opportunities to students in SCCs Audio and Visual Production program
This position is required to have the skills necessary to operate two-way audio and video telecommunications network utilizing advanced cable communications transmission technology
Essential Duties:
- Video Production and Coordination - Lead the planning, scheduling, and storyboarding of all video projects to ensure clarity, engagement, and alignment with institutional goals
This includes research, scriptwriting, etc
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and campus departments to coordinate, plan, and execute television shows and tapings
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop video content that effectively communicates intended messages, ensuring that all content is both accurate and engaging for viewers
- Manage the full video production process of recorded and live broadcasts, including ideation, pre-production, production, and post-production for all live broadcasts
- Operate and maintain all necessary production studio and equipment, such as set design, control room, production equipment, HD cameras, audio boards, light boards, and editing software
Acts as liaison to Columbus County cable companies
- Works in cooperation with other areas of the institution to promote training and marketing videos
- Schedule, produce and edit programming for airing on the SCC cable television channel
- Schedules and maintains a full-time cable channel and the online PEG central account
- Networks and stays current on latest trends within broadcast/production field and high education and training for the Audio and Visual Production Program

Educational Leadership and Student Training
- Supervise student staff - Teach assigned courses in accordance with the published curriculum and course descriptions to meet College guidelines, goals and objectives
- Plan, organize and facilitate learning strategies to communicate subject matter for maximization of student learning and participate in professional development related to pedagogy and andragogy best practices
- Develop and maintain an electronic learning site for all assigned courses through the current learning management system
- Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student work promptly to maximize student learning
- Plans and leads hands-on training and student led projects that prepare students in the Audio and Visual Production Program to enter the workforce with the essential skills of the industry
- Maintains regular, appropriate, professional communication with students
Budget Management
- Manages departmental budgets as determined by the Director of Marketing and Communications - Recommends area needs for personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, and other resources during the annual planning process - Maintains labs where applicable related to equipment and supplies, preventative maintenance and purchase of supplies -

Remains current in discipline through professional development activities offered by the College and other opportunities including but not limited to: off-campus activities, webinars, conference, etc
