Video Editor - Planet Interactive

Location: Culver City, CA
Schedule: Onsite 5 days
Working Hours: 1pm-10pm PT
Pay: Up to $55/hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a Video Editor to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and will require this person to be onsite 5 days per week in their Culver City office working 1:00pm to 10:00pm.

Video Editor Responsibilities: 

• Editing videos projects for Application Marketing.
• Editing footage for feature and episodic projects.
• Handling post-production to projects that can span product pieces, tutorials, how-to projects, and more.
• Report to the Creative Director and receive assignments, deadlines, and instructions for projects.
• Create, analyze, and troubleshoot master-level QC reports for Audio and Video assets.
• Manage projects independently and ensure that they are turned in on time.
• Send in final files for review by the team. 

Video Editor Qualifications:

• 4+ years' experience.
• Portfolio showcasing work.
• Have a practical understanding of Audio/Video containers, codecs and file format - including HDR (both Dolby Vision and HDR-10) and Dolby Atmos.
• Proficient operational understanding of various Mastering and NLE software programs, including ColorFront Transkoder + QC Player, ProTools, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
• Technical problem solver with the ability to work independently.
