About the Job
As a Video Editor & Producer Sr. Associate for our U.S. Wealth Management team you will support end-to-end video production process for our internal and external communications. You will report to the Head of Multimedia for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, where you will assist in developing, shooting, and editing high-quality video content for various platforms. In addition, you will create video content that inspires and engages employees, aligning them with the firm's objectives and strategy which includes filming and editing content for internal distribution channels such as our Intranet site, town halls, and email communications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, filming, and editing original video content for external platforms including jpmorgan.com, chase.com, the Chase app, and social media.
- Develop new and innovative ways to create multimedia content, engaging and directing subject-matter experts across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain continuous communication to keep all partners updated on project status, ensure all work is on schedule, and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships within the organization to ensure alignment across business functions.
- Manage selected video projects from start to finish, identify new and topical content ideas, and contribute to developing and executing distribution strategies.
- Ensure comprehensive video strategy on projects, aligning production timelines and budgets.
- Participate in meetings with senior business and client stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and manage stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Assist social and events teams with platform-specific productions, including live event videos and social reels.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years of experience in media creating compelling video content, including filming and editing (news, television, digital video, creative agency).
- Proven track record of producing video through all phases of production (planning, scripting, shooting, editing) ; working knowledge of sound mixing and color correction.
- Expertise in shooting with professional camera equipment, such as Canon C300 Mark III & C70 cameras; knowledge of camera lenses, lights, grip, electric equipment, and other accessories.
- Highly organized, creative, collaborative thinker with a passion for visual storytelling; solutions and results-oriented, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize actions, and meet deadlines.
- Expertise in non-linear editing, animation, and audio edit/post software (Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition), and multi-camera workflows; familiarity with video and audio formats and best practices for web and digital applications and expertise with on-set protocols and basic production equipment.
- Knowledge of video rights and clearance issues; expertise in pre-production processes including storyboarding, pre-interviews, and vendor sourcing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word); familiarity with Mac systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management across our business.
- Ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects, work under tight deadlines, and prioritize responsibilities.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
- Must be able to perform the physical tasks necessary for the work, including moderate lifting and carrying of equipment, setup and takedown of equipment, and standing for long periods.
