The Virtual Client Information Security Officer (vCISO) is responsible for delivering projects and providing consultative services through the lens of Security while interfacing with our internal Governance and Compliance team. The vCISO is the Subject Matter Expert for specific named customers and engages with that customer on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
The vCISO takes the named role as CISO for the client and functions as that member of the management team often reporting to a CFO, CIO, or other client executive.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the subject matter expert on all security documentation matters and consistently deliver the highest quality advisory services
- Define and deliver framework and methodology around security program and services with partners and customers. This understanding customer security and compliance requirements, preparing security risk assessments and strategy, and delivering custom solution engagements
- Establishes, develops, and grows information security, risk and compliance operational security architecture and security policies, principles and standards
- Interprets vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and assess the effectiveness of existing controls
- Effectively lead IT projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget with the objective of delivering quality work products
- Think through various technology solutions options as it relates to complex business problems and provide recommendations to team lead and/or client.
- Participate in client discovery meetings, and be able to clearly articulate scope, approach, and level of effort for the proposal
- Coach and mentor team members
- Work as a consultant with our clients globally
- Identify ways to improve our clients' systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, and network)
- Plan and execute projects with minimal oversight

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university
Experience
- Customarily has at least 10 years of years of technical experience
- Customarily has at least 5 years of Information Security experience
- Customarily has at least 5 years of mentorship/leadership experience

Salary Range
The following information is required by the California Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of California. The anticipated starting pay range for Irvine, California applicants for this role is $178,049.27 - $269,154.71, with a median of $217,865.72. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
The following information is required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Colorado. The anticipated starting pay range for Denver, Colorado applicants for this role is $167,807.34 - $253,672.12, with a median of $205,333.43. Actual compensation is impacted by a number of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, specific work locations and any potential licenses and certifications required for that role.
