Virtualization Hardware Engineer

Location:    Hill AFB, Utah

Position Summary:

Command Cyber Solutions (a government contractor) is seeking a qualified Virtualization Hardware Engineer in support of client located at Hill AFB, Utah.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Monitor, administer, and ensure recoverability of and adherence to VMWare technical infrastructure and application environments.
•    Capture and virtualize production data and allow apps to access virtual data where/when needed.
•    Evaluate server implementations to capture virtualization requirements.
•    Build virtual images of physical servers.
•    Secure the hypervisor using STIGs.
•    Manage the encryption infrastructure for the hardware environment.
•    Design, plan, build, configure and maintain the virtual server infrastructure.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

Education Required:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT related field or equivalent professional experience.
•    Two (2) or more years of experience.
•    Active Secret Clearance.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION (only one required):

•    VMWare Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization.
•    VMWare Certified Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

•    Identity and Access Management.
•    VMWare vSphere version 6 and higher.
•    VMware products supporting the vCloud Air Network (vCAN) program.
•    VMWare vCenter.
•    VMware vRealize Suite Cloud Management Platform.
•    VMWare Continuous Data Protection.
•    DBaaS in VMWare Cloud.
•    Actifio VDP for copy data management in VMWare.
•    vRealize (Aria).
•    VMWare Cloud Platform.
•    VMWare NSX.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

•    Basic office work environment at government facility location
•    Hours of operation are M-F between 0600-1800.
•    Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days
•    Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer
