Vision Systems Engineer / Technician
Decatur - Huntsville, AL | Contract | $40-60/hr
Konik is partnering with a manufacturer that is looking to add an experienced Visions Systems Engineer or Technician. This is currently set to be a 3-month contract and would be eligible for a possible extension or conversion.
Visions Systems Engineer/ Technician Responsibilities:
- Working on Neural Network camera vision systems for quality inspections.
- Utilize NVIDIA Xavier devices and integrate with a custom-developed neural network platform.
- work on vision applications involving Cognex and Keyence cameras.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Leads, and Quality teams to understand business and functional requirements.
- Support existing customizations of neural network systems on site.
- Install and configure NVIDIA X-Desktop systems.
- Manage enhancement requests related to product updates, including model year changes and quality monitoring improvements.
- Work with business teams and technical leads to design solutions for neural network systems based on specified requirements.
- Implement best practices in software development to ensure the quality of engineering processes and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance to users on neural network software applications.
- Document test cases and conduct system and acceptance testing.
Visions Systems Engineer/ Technician Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment or software development.
- Hands-on experience with industrial vision systems, including Cognex and Keyence.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, C++.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and control system integration with vision systems.
- Understanding of basic electrical installation requirements.
- Knowledge of networking, including IP structures, device networking, and configurations of network devices such as switches and NAT routers.
- Proficiency in reading CAD files; knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
