Description:
We are looking for an experienced visual designer with 5+ years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies. You'll spend your time doing hands on visual design work with a focus on quality and adherence to brand standards, creating new standards and guidelines, and cultivating strategic relationships throughout the Internet Services Group, which is responsible for all of the transactional sites.
You will do both production and strategic work. Responsibilities include ongoing maintenance such as image searches and marketing asset production, larger projects, and enhancements to the existing design standards. You will work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams. To be successful, you must be organized and able to work on several projects at once.
Working in the Customer Experience team of the Internet Channel Strategy division, you will be responsible for producing and presenting creative concepts and visual designs that adhere to brand and design standards. The role requires well-demonstrated skills in visual design, solidly informed by best practice user-centric design standards.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience creating compelling and innovative brand solutions for major, consumer websites with heavy traffic. E-commerce experience mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in user experience design.
- Strong portfolio, with at least 5 outstanding design samples.
- Strong understanding and experience with web technologies, including:
- Photoshop and Illustrator
- InDesign a plus
- BS, BFA or BA major in design, graphic design, art direction or industrial design.
- Proven skills in setting creative direction within the brand guidelines, exploring new approaches, creating visual vocabularies, and working strategically with online partners. In addition, individual must have strong client facing and presentation skills which includes ability to discuss, listen, defend and persuade.
- Capable of adhering to project schedules and effectively tracking their progress to meet challenging deadlines and corporate initiatives.
- Able to self-manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as a member of a team.
- A proven track record of successful Design deliverables.
- Great attention to detail.
- Understanding of content management systems a plus.
Portfolio requirements:
- Candidate should be prepared to show design samples and interim deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new approaches and design solutions to complex design problems and be able to meet aggressive deadlines and manage several priorities at once.
- Puts ideas into a tangible form.
- Has an eye for detail.
- Communicates clearly and effectively and possess strong analytical and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and leadership skills—proven persuasion, facilitation and diplomacy skills are a must for this role as you'll be advocating for quality customer experiences in an environment that is intensely focused on revenue, but also very design-savvy.
- Collaborates actively with others in a cross-functional team. Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
