About the Job
The Visual Merchandising team supports the Hermès of Paris US network by enhancing the in-store client experience through targeted and strategic display of merchandise collections, while also optimizing sales. Additionally, the Visual Merchandising team are partners in Retail, Client Experience, and Communications driven activities, lending their expertise to elevate and evolve the brand identity.
The Opportunity:
As the Visual Merchandising Manager, Animations & Events, you will be responsible for the integrity and consistency of VM setup as it relates to retail animation and special event installations. This position requires extensive in-store merchandising and an ability to merge commercial and aesthetic concerns through the improvement of in-store installations; interpreting Group guidelines to enhance the store atmosphere, the client experience, and business goals. The Visual Merchandising Manager will be an important link between the VM, Client Experience, Special Events, and store management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility and excellent communication with all cross-functional partners in day-to-day tasks and projects.
About the Role:
- Be the liaison between VM, Client Experience, and Special Event teams.
- Specialize in implementing and elevating VM display as it relates to Animation and Event strategies.
- Partner with store teams, Store Directors, Regional VP's, VM Managers, Client Experience and Special Events departments to optimize zoning, scaling, and installation of animation elements.
- Liaise with Merchandising team to enhance product assortment for animations/trunk shows.
- Provide regular, qualitative feedback and images to Corporate VM department, International VM department, and partners as needed.
- Travel to support the installation of large market animations, trunk shows, and events.
- Work alongside the Client Experience team to manage installation vendors.
- Assist with new store openings and renovations as needed.

- Local visual display planning and actioning as relates to US VM department and International VM department objectives.
- On-site judgement calls and problem-solving during animation installations, as needed.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years of Visual Merchandising Managerial experience.
- A leader with the ability to clearly communicate objectives.
- Ability to interpret guidelines and adapt them in a manner consistent with Group standards.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize.
- Strategic agility, able to change direction quickly as needed.
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills.
- A conceptual and innovative thinker.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster local and cross-functional relationships.
- Strong time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
The range for this position is $96,705.50 -$114,289.50 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
