Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant 3 (PCN 05-2127) - State of Alaska

What You Will Be Doing:
As a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Client Services Section direct client services, provides specific administrative and rehabilitation assistance to one or more vocational rehabilitation professionals; conducts intake interviews with clients, makes vendor payments, and makes medical and other professional assistance appointments. Takes the first line responsibility with applicants or individuals with disabilities who need special assistance throughout the vocational rehabilitation process. Is the Field Administrative Support Team Representative for the region.

This position is essential within the Division and the Regional Office in which that service is provided. This position is one of five in the state that provides direct service delivery and administrative support. This position is a member of the Field Administrative Support team that supports field carrying staff in the day-to-day operations of DVR.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position provides primary support to the Regional Manager and other Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors/Assistants located within the Southeast Region (Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka), with a total of 13 staff. Consumers of DVR are directly served out of the Southeast Region. At DVR, we strive to ensure a seamless experience for clients requiring our services and the administrative support provided by this office is necessary for the provision of vocational rehabilitation services for those individuals who experience disabilities. The Division operates during regular business hours (8am - 5pm), with flexibility within those hours and the ability for telework at times.
