Job Title: Volunteer Engagement Specialist
FLSA Status: Part-time, non-exempt, regular
Work Schedule: 20-25 hours per week (normally)
Pay: $14.94-$16 an hour
Department: Volunteer Engagement (#970)
Reports to: Manager of Volunteer Engagement
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The role consists of administrative support for the Volunteer Engagement team. It requires daily interactions with staff, volunteers, candidates, stakeholders and others in order to maintain momentum and fulfill the company mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure volunteer electronic and paper filing systems are kept accurate, consistent, up to date, and in compliance for audits and using best practices
- Enter and maintain volunteer data in the volunteer engagement information system
- Assist in the interviewing, background checks, and orientation cycle of volunteers
- Coordinate and maintain volunteer staffing/training for the 1625 admin desk
- Assist with volunteer communication
- Provide support for volunteer appreciation and acknowledgement awards
- Support creation of and/or run monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Volunteer Engagement
- Volunteer Engagement
- Other duties as assigned

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Silver Key Senior Services is a drug-free organization. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background checks. Business-specific knowledge: Knowledge of Silver Key Senior Services mission statement, policies/procedures, business-specific software, and safety regulations. This position requires a background check by Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS).
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED

MS Office Skills, detail oriented, strong written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, experience with a database program, self-motivated, ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both group and one on one settings, protect all sensitive information, demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times.
TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCY
This position requires good proficiency in the use of computer software and applications, office equipment, and professional telephone use. The ability to adequately type quickly with few to no errors is also very important. This position will often require multi-tasking in the use of computer, phone, and office equipment while interacting with clients. Candidates for this position may be required to take and pass technology proficiency assessments prior to employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, statistical and mathematical abilities, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write complex reports and distill information for many audiences. Proficiency in non-English languages is highly valued.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires standing, walking and sitting for periods of time. Utilization of hands and fingers to operate office computer keyboard and equipment required. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and stoop, kneel or crouch if needed. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed. (weight requirements over 50 lbs. may require a physical exam during the pre-employment process)
VISION REQUIREMENTS
Position requires close, distance and peripheral vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Moderate noise within business office atmosphere with computers, printers, and light traffic.
