About the Job
VP, Commercial Finance and Partnerships (NC Transaction, Inc., dba News Corporation; New York, New York): Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance to the CEO, CFO and CTO. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making. Participate in the development of the annual and quarterly strategic plans, drawing from internal and external research and analysis and working closely with business unit heads and finance. Optimize cash flow management and capital allocation. Implement efficient financial processes and systems to support scalability. Manage relationships with HQ and Business Unit stakeholders, including multiple Business Unit CEOs and CFOs as well as Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Treasury, and Accounting. Prepare financial reports and presentations, including executive-level presentations presenting connectivity to other projects and business units, and prepare ad-hoc analyses for senior management. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Implement robust internal controls and compliance measures. Evaluate potential investment opportunities and partnerships. Lead due diligence processes and post-acquisition integration efforts. Develop business cases to support new revenue and cost-saving opportunities, and present opportunities to executive management. Recommend new partnerships and work with legal department, finance department, and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms. Conduct internal and external analysis, develop new products, and shut down/divest projects. Develop and monitor comprehensive product roadmaps. Manage all aspects of the development and delivery of the strategic plan and of the quarterly updates. Conduct periodic reviews of existing strategies and analyze and provide briefings on strategic questions. Research key market, business, and technology trends. Help define and manage multiple strategic projects towards deliverables and timelines. Utilize structured processes, frameworks, and approaches for rapidly assessing commercial benefits, business, financial, and other risks. Build and lead finance team, mentoring and developing finance professionals.
