VP, Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst at Citigroup

The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy
The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs
The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.Responsibilities: Support the implementation of data governance initiatives including oversight and documentation of data consumer use cases, their needs concerning enterprise data, managing quality solutions, developing tactical and strategic solutions when gaps are identified regarding data consumption against unauthorized data sources, and developing the necessary monitoring metrics and thematic assessment of progress against Citi’s implementation of the Data Governance Plan (CDGP).Participate in the data quality issue/defect management process to understand impact to data consumer’s needs in order to ensure data is fit for purposeAnalyze data quality exceptions to understand impact of issues to data quality needs of data consumers and secure corrective action plans from data owners working with the data issues management teamEnhance data quality process automation, governance, and reportingInterface with Internal Audit, Risk & Control teams to facilitate reviews and validation of Data Governance deliverablesCollaborate with HR data users, owners, and enablers to assist with the implementation and adoption of tools necessary to build and run effective data management tools and processesDevelop, prioritized Data Adoption Prioritization inventories based on their relevant data risk impact to Citi's regulatory obligations, management decision, or strategic directionPrepare and present written and verbal updates to senior managementPartner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and/or Data Risk and Control frameworkProvide expertise on Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls framework including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment processesOversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reportingSupport and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy roll out, including new Data risk taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control frameworkGather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices and standards, e.g., understanding industry best practicesProduce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, processes and practicesDevelop and manage approach for measuring adoption of principles, policies, processes and practicesQualifications:6-10 years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related areaAdvanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and toolsRequires basic commercial awarenessAbility to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholdersAbility to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiencesEducation:Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Data Governance------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Data Governance Foundation------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$142,320.00 - $213,480.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards
