We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Cloud Architect to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing enterprise-level cloud solutions with a focus on AWS, enterprise applications, and cloud-agnostic platforms, particularly with Kubernetes. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving innovation in the cloud.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud Strategy & Architecture:
- Design, architect, and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, and other cloud technologies.
- Develop cloud adoption strategies for enterprise applications, ensuring smooth migration and optimization.
- Lead architecture discussions to ensure alignment with business goals, ensuring cost efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Provide expertise in cloud-agnostic solutions, guiding teams to build and manage applications that are portable across cloud providers.
- Design and manage Kubernetes-based solutions, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline the deployment of containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
- Oversee the setup of CI/CD pipelines and automation of infrastructure using tools such as Helm, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Software Engineering, Security, and Operations) to define cloud requirements and align solutions with business needs.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior architects, engineers, and developers.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging cloud technologies to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure that cloud solutions comply with security standards, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
- Establish governance frameworks for managing cloud resources and cloud-native services.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security on an ongoing basis.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovative cloud solutions, applying the latest in cloud-native technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools in cloud computing to recommend and implement innovative solutions that drive business agility.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:
- 20+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with at least 4 years in cloud architecture, focusing on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Extensive experience designing and deploying cloud-native architectures with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) and Kubernetes-based solutions.
- Strong expertise in AWS(Amazon Web Services) architecture and services.
- Proficiency in Kubernetesand container orchestration.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC)tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline).
- Deep understanding of enterprise applications, including microservices architectures and application integration in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-agnostic technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and multi-cloud strategies.
- Expertise in networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments, with a focus on ensuring data protection and privacy.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with multi-cloud strategies, including platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in data architecture and management in cloud environments (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, ETL).
- Experience in migrating legacy enterprise applications to cloud-native solutions.
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA, etc.) is a plus.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Associate level (or similar certifications).
