VP of Operations, Instrumentation & Controls
Position Summary
The VP of Operations, Instrumentation & Controls will be a key executive on Inframark’s Automation & Intelligence (A&I) leadership team and the owner of all aspects of our project delivery, from engineering and programming to supply chain and manufacturing. This role is responsible for converting bookings to revenue, based on RVP forecasts, in the most efficient manner and with the highest quality. This role reports to the GM, Instrumentation and will be a key contributor to help us achieve Revenue and EBITDA targets and allow us to meet or exceed bonus potential.
The right person will have the strategic vision and financial understanding to ensure we hire and train direct labor resources at least one month in advance of planned needs. The advanced hiring with standardization of best practices across the delivery organization will ensure we can continue our sales efforts with confidence. The role includes all aspects of team building, quality management, best practice standardization, and ongoing business management. The VP of Operations must also possess the technical fluency and domain expertise in operational technologies, engineering and percent of complete revenue models to help Inframark balance operational readiness with target achievement.
The ultimate key performance metrics for this role are backlog conversion to RVP forecast, utilization, efficiency and first pass yield.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Standardization ~
+ Drive consistent, time saving practices across the delivery organization
+ Create centralized repositories for standard drawings and coding to support standardization requirements.
+ Develop and deploy standard templates, tools and guideline documents that drive consistency in execution and deliverables across the organization
Hiring & Training ~
+ Build a hiring plan to RVP forecast, based on skillsets, technical requirements and geography, with 30-day buffer. Assume normal turnover, so we can weather standard business changes.
+ Build capabilities in new markets prior to acquisition or organic market entrance
+ Build world-class training programs to quickly onboard new talent
+ Evaluate local versus remote (Cyient) resource needs and labor costs
Integration with Business Needs ~
+ Hold a bi-weekly S&OP meeting to ensure operations can plan for new sales and evolving RVP needs.
+ Integrate with VP of Finance to ensure accurate financial performance through forecasting of Revenue and Cost with respect to delivery functions
+ Manage a Remote Technical team to produce highly accurate and efficient deliverables that align with Inframark standards
+ Gain confidence of sales and PM teams through normal interaction
Supply Chain & Manufacturing ~
+ Assess manufacturing capabilities and locations to develop the most efficient and consistent delivery of panels
+ Redesign layout of existing footprint to increase production without added roofline. Consider centralized production.
+ Ensure supply chain is integrated into forecasting and manufacturing process
+ Drive savings through consistency and leverage by consolidating spend, reducing vendors while increasing value through collaboration and support
