We are seeking a dynamic and talented Vice President of Product who can join our Managed Services leadership team at a critical inflection point for the organization. This person will be instrumental in defining a product strategy that will take us to the next level of scale and impact, driving growth through product and technology innovation. Collaborating with our Cloud and Network architects, the VP and the product owners will be responsible for translating strategy into a comprehensive catalog of scalable and reliable infrastructure services to support clients throughout their outsourcing journey. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and supportive leader, with a track record of strong execution in product development in the infrastructure hosting space.
Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with cross functional leadership to translate organizational strategy into a product strategy and goals.
- Roadmap Creation and Iteration: Develop and iterate on a product roadmap in alignment with product strategy, taking in key inputs (user feedback, business opportunities, market insights, engineering constraints), and effectively prioritizing and planning. Set up structures to ensure key stakeholders feel appropriately engaged and aligned on requirements and expectations. The roadmap will be transparent and accessible to all stakeholders.
- Product Systems and Operations: Standardize processes for product planning, customer discovery, product discovery, and product development, aligned to best practices. Create systems for tracking the status of projects and timelines to support cross-functional planning.
- Reporting on key metrics: Develop standard reporting on key financial metrics associated with the product catalog including ROI predications and actuals, Gross Profit by product and bookings forecasts. Create and track product level budgets including COGS, Opex and Capex. Report on addressable market, market penetration of our products and associated 5 to 10 year revenue projections – with product path to achieve those results.
- Customer Engagement: Lead the planning and execution of the Customer Advisory Board (annual onsite and virtual follow up meetings) to gather valuable input on current processes and services and input into future offerings. Translate feedback into development items and work cross functionally to prioritize and track implementation.
- Commercial deal review and pricing: Create financial models to analyze deal metric includes IRR, ROI, Cash flow and Margins on specific opportunities working closely with sales and finance. Maintain current costs and industry competitive pricing in the quoting systems.
- Team Management, Mentorship and Development: Manage a team of product managers ensuring clearly defined responsibilities. Effectively support and grow the skills of the team to meet high expectations, as well as evolve the team structure to support the goals of the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a product leader, preferably in the cloud hosting/service provider industry.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Familiarity with cloud, storage and networking technologies, concepts, and terminology.
- IaaS, PaaS, StaaS, NaaS and DRaaS).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience as a budget owner including creation, tracking and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
- Proven track record of collaboring with sales to drive business growth.
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities.
