VP OF STRATEGIC FINANCE
ProService is seeking a VP of Finance and Strategy to lead our enterprise wide financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and strategic finance function that together drive our long-term financial strategy. This role will be responsible for building a world-class finance team, developing sophisticated financial models, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
The VP of Strategic Finance will report directly to the CFO and drive financial analysis, including annual and long range planning, profitability analysis and execution plan at the Business Unit and Client level. This person will also lead our data analysis team responsible for maintenance and leading performance indicators and key outcomes as well as real-time and predictive analytics. The VP of Strategic Finance must work across the leadership team to drive financial and operational goals and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive measurement and execution.
Financial Analysis (Forecasting, Defining Outcomes)
- Refine and own forecasting models - Long range planning, annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasts, monthly performance and risk analysis
- Evaluate key drivers of the business and their impact on enterprise value to drive prioritization framework
- Understand the macro environment and forecast the impact of changing conditions (i.e., unemployment schedules changing, workers compensation rates rising, minimum wage increasing) and make recommendations for action
- Develop models to analyze capital and resource deployment across different business units
- Capacity Planning: Build analysis around productivity to determine the hiring needs across different functions
- Perform regular expected vs. actual financial analysis on new business and existing business changes; drive adjustments as needed
- Develop a discipline of financial analysis driving risk management decisions
Analytics and Performance Indicators:
- Develop/refine leading and lagging KPIs for each of the company's functional areas including Sales/Marketing, Retention/Account Management, Service/Operations, Pricing/Financial, Health Care, Workers Comp and People
- Ensure that tracking and reporting of KPIs is consistent across the company
- Work collaboratively with leaders in various functional areas. Goal is to better understand the business in order to equip and empower those leaders with information that they need to make better business decisions
- Coordinate and prepare materials for monthly business reviews of key functional areas
- Investigate the need for - and evaluation of - software platforms that would facilitate the tracking and reporting of KPIs
The base compensation for this position is $225,000.00 to $250,000.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
