Job Summary
The Vice President Partnership & Premium Sales is responsible for generating sponsorship & premium sales as well as managing the sponsorship and premium budget for T-Mobile Arena & Grand Garden Arena. The incumbent will work with the AEG Global Partnerships structure and resources on a consistent basis. The VP Partnership Sales will also be responsible for managing a team who will also work closely with the activation team. This position will be based in T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, reporting into the SVP, Partnership Sales.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue objectives for sponsorship and premium seating at T-Mobile Arena and Grand Garden Arena.
- Sell sponsorship assets and premium seating at T-Mobile Arena & Grand Garden Arena.
- Manage the sales team to set sales goals and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual goals are met by employing various sales techniques, creating and maintaining new business relationships, and setting expectations for their employees.
- Drive new business and execute effective corporate sales calls and presentations promoting the purchase of sponsorships in order to meet established sales objectives.
- Lead premium seating renewal efforts to renew premium seating products and grow revenues through the process. Coordinate replacing non-renewal clients with sales team to effectively strategize on bringing new clients.
- Seek innovative ways to continually generate revenue by developing creative concepts for pitches, utilizing various resources for execution.
- Serve as an account manager by addressing clients' concerns, questions and objections to close sponsorship deals. Resolve deal discrepancies and work with legal team to draft deal terms.
- Keep sales management apprised of progress toward established revenue goals and of the progress in closing identified prospects and tracks progress in the department's CRM system.
- Develop a business intelligence strategy using business and research development tools. Continue to strive to streamline processes utilizing technology tools, i.e. ZoomInfo, EZ Text, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, etc.
- Supportive Functions: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be requireed to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each fuction to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Assist with other AEG venues/events.
- Attend arena sponsored charity events within the local area.
- Other tasks asnd duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)
- 10+ years Related work experience
- Sponsorship sales, servicing and activation experience within the Entertainment or Sports industries.
- Renowned solution selling pedigree.
- Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions.
- Exemplary problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to synergize the efforts of individuals and teams from multiple AEG business units to accomplish the goals of the company.
- Known throughout the industry for poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
- Must have customer service-related experience and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to learn required business system(s).
