About the Job
Responsible for leading a cross functional team in development and delivery activities across a suite of assigned software products. This position develops and communicates a clear vision for assigned product portfolio by establishing deep relationships with key business leaders and accumulating knowledge of enterprise strategy and industry dynamics. This position acts as a hands-on leader, who builds and supports a high-performing cross-functional team, and ultimately facilitates delivery of transformative technology solutions to market in support Bank OZK’s strategic objectives.
Essential Job Functions:Develops product vision and strategy in partnership with department leadership team and project sponsors and stakeholders.
Mentors other product managers within the team, advises on best practices and institutional domain knowledge.
Builds relationships with business leaders and other functions across the organization, removes impediments to successful delivery of transformative technology solutions.
Oversees strategic planning and resource allocation activities across assigned products with input from department leadership team and project sponsors and stakeholders.
Understands the financial services market, develops expertise in the banking industry, and infuses these insights into product development activities.
Demonstrates deep knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) processes needed to operate in a highly regulated environment and applies this knowledge in interactions with other Bank employees.
Collaborates with key members of the department’s leadership team to make continuous improvements to the product development process that support delivery of high-impact, high-quality products to market, while maintaining a strong set of controls and oversight.
Collaborates with key members of the department’s leadership team to define and implement a strong performance culture, along with supporting organizational structure and processes, to enable the acquisition and retention of a team of exceptionally talented engineers, product managers, designers, and technology professionals.
Operates as a cross-functional leader, bringing the organization together to meet business goals.
Advocates for the adoption of data-driven decision making within the organization.
Handles a variety of assignments and interacts with all levels of management.
Produces accurate, thorough and timely work, while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

Comprehensive knowledge of agile project management best practices.

Bachelor degree in business, computer science, or other job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in product management role or financial services industry, required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an agile product development environment, preferred.
Prior experience building or managing teams, preferred.
