Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop the vendor management policy, program and procedures
- Facilitating vendor selection and contract negotiation processes
- Help and coordinate vendor processes with SMEs across the organization to approve vendors
- Continuously monitoring vendor risk even after the vendor contract is executed (e.g., develop SLAs with contract owners for critical vendors and monitor performance levels and periodically requesting and analyzing current due diligence)
- Maintaining a database of pertinent risk information pertaining to third parties, and communicating this data via consistent reporting to senior leadership, pertinent stakeholders and the board
- Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished.
- Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.
- Identify and implement continuously enhance efficiencies associated with vendor management plus produce fulfillment.
- Collaborate with IT areas and Legal to assure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are completely leveraged.
Supervision of Personnel
- Up to 2 direct reports, including contract consultants.
Working Conditions
This position may be performed in a regular office work environment or remote. The position requires some physical activity in the maintenance of facilities and corporate office. Able to lift over 10 lbs. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday; occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Flexibility with work location and hours may be granted if circumstances permit.
Travel
- Must be willing to travel to various locations for third party risk management due diligence if needed.
Qualifications Summary
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related discipline preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in vendor management. Experience in a financial services institution preferred.
