Vulnerability Management at AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking Vulnerability Management for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL(Hybrid). You will collaborate with various teams to develop and modify patching flow documentation and resolve issues during patching exercises, requiring flexibility to work weekends and afternoon shifts.

 

Rate Range: $41/hour to $51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Vulnerability Management job responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the implementation of best practices for patching and vulnerability management to maintain the security of client infrastructure.

• Performing OS patching and software vulnerability remediation on mission-critical applications, ensuring zero downtime.

• Collaborating with application teams and engineering partners to develop and modify patching flow documentation.

• Coordinating with various teams (System Administrators, Middleware, Database Administrators, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve issues during patching exercises.

• Monitoring and reporting on patching progress and vulnerability status to ensure compliance with security policies.

• Participating in change and release management processes to align patching activities with operational requirements.

• Working weekend and afternoon shifts as necessary to meet operational needs and maintain system integrity.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4 to 6 years in vulnerability management, patching, or systems administration.

• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems and experience with patching and vulnerability remediation.

• Familiarity with change and release management processes and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $51.00 per hour
