Texas Instruments is seeking Wafer Fab Manufacturing Technician Interns who will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this role you will utilize diagnostic equipment and various vendor documents to isolate and repair malfunctions. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC and digital electronic theory, and the ability to assemble, disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies. Work may involve repetitive motion and some heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs). The internship is a temporary position lasting 3-6 months that will give you the opportunity to shadow and learn how to perform vital preventative maintenance on semiconductor factory equipment in a cleanroom environment.
Location: South Portland, Maine
Pay: This is an hourly position.
Shift: Work 12 hour in person shifts on a fixed, compressed schedule, allowing for 3-4 days off in a row and built in overtime

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma/GED
+ 18 years of age or older
+ Currently enrolled in a Technical Certificate or Associates program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or related electronics field
+ Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays
Preferred qualifications:
+ Understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC and digital electronic theory, and the ability to assemble, disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies
+ Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
+ Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
+ Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role.
+ Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
