Warehouse Associate - Axelon Services Corporation

Position Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Portsmouth, VA
Shift : 10AM - 6: 30PM

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain quality system effectiveness.
• Operate forklifts, package, label customer orders, and utilize computer systems for processing receipts, putaways, picks, and replenishments.
• Inspect incoming products, verify accuracy against shipping manifests.
• Report inventory discrepancies to management or inventory control.
• Collaborate with QA teams to handle incoming product dispositions.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow written procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Read product labels and picking sheets.
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
• Effective communication with warehouse supervisors.
• Proficient in operating rolling pushcarts, electric forklifts, and manual pallet jacks.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

• Exposure to moving equipment and warehouse temperature controls.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions during loading.
• Potential for extended work hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Peripheral and depth vision for spatial awareness.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs (1-2 cases at a time) from ground to waist.
• Regular use of static pushing and pulling for pallet movement with pallet jack.
