Warehouse Distribution Lead- Farm Food Hub at The Common Market

The Common Market is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Distribution Lead (Warehouse Level 3) to support our Farm Food Hub operations. As a Warehouse Distribution Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our Farm Food Hub. The Farm Food Hub is a central location where local farmers deliver their fresh produce, dairy, and meat products, which are then distributed to customers like schools, hospitals, and community organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the receiving and inventory processes at the Farm Food Hub
• Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders
• Coordinate with local farmers for product pickups and deliveries to the Farm Food Hub
• Oversee the packing and shipping processes
• Maintain food safety and quality standards throughout the operations
• Lead and train a team of warehouse associates in order fulfillment and inventory management
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize operations efficiency

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in the food industry
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, and customers
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations
• 1+ year of forklift experience
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
