WAREHOUSE DRIVER Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Warehouse Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering customer orders promptly and courteously while providing excellent customer service. The Warehouse Driver will also be responsible for making pickups as necessary and performing general warehouse duties, as well as assisting customers when needed. All responsibilities should be executed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
WAREHOUSE DRIVER Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Organization and Maintenance: Sort, recycle, and keep products in a designated, neat, and organized area. Ensure all offices, warehouses, and bathrooms are clean and safe year-round.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, courteous service to everyone encountered, with special attention to donors. Engage in small talk, smile, and make eye contact.
Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Blue Ridge Hospice service area and ability to provide accurate directions.
Vehicle Operation: Skilled in handling both 14ft and 26ft box trucks.
Minor Repairs: Ability to perform minor repairs on furniture and other items as needed.
Scheduling and Record-Keeping: Manage and maintain accurate pick-up schedules and records. Ensure accurate receipts for pick-ups, deliveries, donations, and gas.
Warehouse Operations: Operate a baler, make bales, and store seasonal merchandise for all thrift shops.
- Driving Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license
