Job Summary

• To expedite the flow of the raw salvage to its designated sort/processing location

General Accountabilities

• Primary Duties

• Supply the processing tables with merchandise to process

• Bring raw pallets to the tables to be worked

• Load the tables with merchandise quickly and efficiently

• Aid processors in lifting heavy merchandise to and from tables to appropriate destination

• Remove full processed bins/pallets and move them to designated rows, replace with new empty ones

• Help in moving pallets, lifting and carrying large and or heavy items to needed location

• Helping in any area needing extra aid

• Sort overstock merchandise and add to pallets in an organized fashion

• Secondary Duties

• Any duties assigned by supervisor

• Lift operation as requested

Job Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent

• Minimum Experience: 1-3 Years

• Forklift certification recommended but not required

Competencies

• Ability to take initiative and problem solve

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent Attention to detail

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb

• Occasionally required to lift light weights (less than 25 pounds)

• Occasionally required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds)

• Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater)

• Finger dexterity required

• Hand coordination required

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus

Work Environment

• Exposure to extreme heat during summer months

• Exposure to extreme cold during winter months

• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts

• Exposure to high, precarious places

• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles

• Exposure to outside weather conditions

• Protective clothing or equipment may be required including: gloves, steel-toed boots, protective eyewear

• The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate
