Position Summary
Warehouse Inventory Specialist ensure inventory accuracy to minimize inventory stock outs that result in production downtime. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts, conducting root-cause analyses, and working with the warehouse team to define processes that eliminate errors.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory stored in the warehouse and production areas.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies (shortages, overages, and damaged items) through research, audits, and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of cycle counts, adjustments, and reports in the inventory management system (e.g., ERP or WMS).
- Assist in ad hoc and end-of-year 4-wall inventory audits.
- Identify and report root causes of inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions to improve stock control.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment to access and move materials as required.
- Flex into other warehouse activities as needed including kitting and lineside replenishment.
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and physical counting.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment forklifts, pallet jacks etc... will not operate
Additional Qualifications Desired
- Ability to lift and move items up to 35 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and manual counting.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature, noise levels).
