We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Team Lead to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our manufacturing processes and teams towards achieving operational excellence. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to leverage their leadership skills and technical expertise in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have 3+ years of experience, particularly in operating and maintaining bag machines.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead, manage, and motivate a team of manufacturing associates to achieve production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of bag machine production, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
3. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
5. Coordinate with other departments such as Quality Control, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
6. Train new team members on bag machine operations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
7. Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
8. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production updates, address concerns, and foster a positive work environment.
9. Monitor and report on key production metrics to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with specific experience in operating and maintaining bag machines.
2. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
3. Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of bag machine operations and maintenance.
4. Experience in implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
7. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
10. Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or a similar methodology is a plus.
