Overview

JOB SUMMARY: 

Performs a variety of janitorial, maintenance and cleaning activities to meet the established standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the distribution center and grounds.

Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining and ensuring that all day to day maintenance schedules are being completed on a timely basis. Understands and make certain that all quality, sanitation and safety procedures are adhered to. Operates all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Recommend equipment revisions. Performs other job functions as required.

Responsibilities

10% - Maintenance inspections (temperature checks, sprinkler, alarm system, units, fire extinguishers, etc.)

25% - General repairs on equipment (racks, load locks)

5% - General electrical (troubleshooting problems and wiring battery chargers)

5% - General plumbing (sink, o rings, etc.)

25% - Painting (lines, buildings, etc.)

25% - Sanitation (AIB standards)

5% - Perform other related duties as may be necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications Required of this Position:

Basic understanding of AIB or Silliker standards preferred. Strong knowledge of sanitation and janitorial concepts and techniques. Understanding of Battery changing and charging procedures and air conditioning equipment. Licensed fork lift operator with a minimum of six months of safe operation of material handling equipment. High school diploma or equivalency. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
