The Warehouse Manager - Freezer Operations will oversee the efficient and effective operation of the freezer warehouse. This role is responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring proper inventory control, and maintaining safe, organized, and well-functioning cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in freezer and cold storage environments and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping frozen goods.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of all inventory to meet food safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage warehouse temperature controls and ensure the freezer's proper functioning.

Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Implement inventory management systems and ensure accurate data entry in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure stock levels meet demand.

Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse personnel, including forklift operators and pickers.
- Develop and maintain employee schedules to meet operational needs.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce health and safety protocols in a freezer environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations (e.g., OSHA, food safety guidelines).
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that all safety equipment (PPE) is used correctly by the team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the freezer warehouse to prevent hazards.

Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for freezer warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for innovation in warehouse operations and logistics.

Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure that all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and temperature monitoring systems, is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Coordinate with vendors for the repair and maintenance of freezer equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a cold storage or freezer environment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures (-10°F to -20°F) for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a cold environment for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable with standing, bending, and walking for extended hours.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a cold storage or freezer environment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
