The Warehouse Manager mobilizes the Warehouse Associates and gear we need to build and takedown event structures according to plan. InProduction has solid planning, scheduling and communication systems in place. A strong work ethic, self-motivation, communication, organization, attention to detail and follow-up are critical for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the layout of the warehouse space to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Oversee the inspection, accuracy, loading, unloading and maintenance of supplies.
- Help maintain a safe, secure and orderly work environment.
- Able and willing to teach and mentor.
- Holds themselves as well as others accountable.
- Thinks critically and plans properly to get the job done. Able to formulate and communicate a plan for the day in keeping with the build schedule. Excellent delegator.
- Manages individual and group morale. Keeps their crew consistently productive.
- Adjust and communicate schedules as needed to align with immediate needs of production and/or client demand.
- Initiate, coordinate and deliver optimal operational policies and procedures.
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and coordinate regular maintenance.
- Manages stock control and reconciles with our data storage system.
- Serve as a liaison with operations, clients, suppliers and transport companies.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records and reports to determine production requirements.
- Maintain operations data such as time, production and costs to measure and prepare management reports and production results.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities.
- Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and properly maintained.
- Determine standards, budgets, production goals and rates based upon company policies, equipment, labor and workload.
- Participate in the hiring of Warehouse Associates as needed.
- Maintain records of Warehouse Associate attendance and hours worked.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage 10-15 Warehouse Associates.
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software databases.
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Inventory management experience and skill.
- Performs well under pressure.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Comfortable with computers.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment (4wd forklift) and tools required for the job.
- Familiar with basic hand tools.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 lbs.
- Experience loading and unloading flat-beds and trailers.
- Willing to travel occasionally to sites under construction in the U.S.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Maintenance and small engine repair skills preferred.
- Ability to stay on your feet throughout the workday.
- Willingness to learn the proper use of industrial equipment.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Ability to read and follow safety instructions.
Application Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of successful hands-on experience in warehouse operations in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Forklift License.
- Current Valid Driver's License.
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements.
