Job Description
We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the setup and management of our new warehouse location in Ontario, CA. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in establishing a streamlined, efficient warehouse operation, coordinating with our Operations leadership and external vendors for the buildout. This role requires expertise in warehouse management, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to create a productive and compliant warehouse environment that aligns with our operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the setup of our new warehouse facility, including layout planning, equipment sourcing, and vendor coordination.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other essential vendors to ensure quality services and cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure all aspects of the warehouse buildout are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure the warehouse is fully compliant with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Manage warehouse staffing needs, including onboarding, training, and overseeing team members to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting to support operational requirements.
- Implement best practices for warehouse organization, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a well-organized and accessible space.
- Support leadership with inventory management insights, reporting, and performance metrics to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse-related inquiries and issues, working closely with internal teams to resolve them promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, particularly in new warehouse setup and operational establishment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in planning and executing buildouts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and warehouse staff.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a technology-driven or startup environment is a plus.
