About the Job
The Warehouse Manager leads all warehouse and delivery team members in managing the safe and accurate receiving, storage, and distribution of products to meet customer demand, ensuring that all orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time. The role works closely with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain leadership to maintain optimal levels of inventory to meet the highly-dynamic demand of Allredi’s customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Leads a team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations, tracks, monitors, resolves complaints, ensures service recovery efforts, identifies trends, and provides feedback to Sales, Supply Chain and Operations leadership.
- Supervises the functions of receiving and storing materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies.
- Manages and monitors inventory to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to maintain accurate stock levels. Utilize Allredi ERP (Sage X3) to input and manage all inventory data, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.
- Ensures no discrepancies in material control and work with Operations leadership and supply chain for timely replenishment to avoid unnecessary stockouts.
- Provides for the inspection of incoming material against orders and specifications for correctness and defects, arranging for the return of defective material.
- Supervises warehouse staff and drivers, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth operations promoting efficiency and a strong sense of urgency.
- Prepares and presents inventory reports, metrics, and KPIs for management review. Controls labor costs through effective planning, scheduling and on-the-job training. Monitors productivity standards by analyzing metrics surrounding key performance indicators. Recommend/implement ways to improve performance.
- Ensures a safe working environment through adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Ensures completion of all safety training, conducts regular safety inspections, and delivers toolbox talks on safety topics.
- Coordinates with both internal and external sources to properly maintain facilities and equipment as needed. Manages consumables, shipping supplies, and other goods associated with day-to-day operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 5 years in distribution, warehouse management, logistics and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including dispatching and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Proficiency in utilizing warehouse management software (WMS) for inventory tracking; ability to analyze reporting and recommend changes that enhance efficiency.
- Knowledge of best practices in warehouse supervision and optimization and the ability to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of abrasive blasting and coatings products, the industry, competitors, basic business concepts, and an understanding of exceeding customer needs and expectations strongly preferred.
- Understand the workings of the transportation industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Hours are a typical office Monday-Friday schedule with night or weekend hours required as necessary for business demands.
Lifting of up to 50 pounds is required. Considerable walking, climbing of stairs and extended reaching may be required. Majority of work is conducted within the Allredi facility but must be able to handle extreme weather conditions.
