About the Job
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse processes such as order fulfillment, receiving, cross dock, picking, verification, packing, and shipment to customers. This role also manages the back-office functions such as customer service support, customer specifications (labeling/packaging), transportation management system, reporting, customer return processing, damaged freight disposition, and inventory.
The Warehouse Manager has oversight of outsourced processes and ensures outsourced locations meet the standardization of operation process at the Rockmart facility. This will include training when required and auditing semi-annually, etc. This position is responsible to meet all requirements for IATF and CTPAT.
- Ensure the warehouse meets daily operational goals with customer satisfaction being the primary goal.
- Develop internal processes with a focus on efficiencies, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures.
- Overall management and reporting.
- Maintain a safe work environment adhering to all company standards.
- Ensure the warehouse back-office functions meet their day-to-day requirements.
- Liaison and general oversight for all outsourced Warehouses.
- Back-up for Warehouse Supervisors.
- This position will close the facility in accordance with the warehouse schedule to meet customer demands.
- Interdepartmental collaboration with supply chain management, business process management, sales operations, IT organizations regarding business process changes, improvements, or new project introductions.
- Work with transportation companies as required.
- Ability to operate a forklift as needed.
- Determine yearly budget for warehouse.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years’ experience in Warehouse or Supply Chain Management with 2+ years of management experience.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and create a positive work environment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a sense of urgency, the ability to multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
- Experience setting up a warehouse.
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations.
