As the Warehouse Operations Traning Manager you will create and deploy content to front line employees from standard work instructions. Develop skills assessments to demonstrate process competence and understanding of training delivered. Administer centralized training manager system and serve as regional support representative for system issues. Deliver comprehensive training and development programs to teams in various facilities. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Develop, Create, and deploy training content for employees using standard work instructions
- Oversee the development of training videos and/or films; maintain the library of training aids
- Schedule and lead training sessions; ensuring that employees from throughout the region are able to attend these sessions and that they are planned in advance
- Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of divisional training programs through testing, surveys, skills assessments, etc.
- Identify required core competencies for each operational area and address any skill gaps by creating training tools that allow employees to achieve the skills needed to be successful
- Train designated employees and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and interacting with employees
- Utilize project management techniques for managing projects such as creating timelines, identifying milestones, and establishing benchmarks.
- Serve as the regional training system administrator which will require you to learn the software, train new users, respond to user questions, troubleshoot common user issues, manage access requests, assist in new site set ups, and perform weekly audits and data reporting functions.
At a minimum, you'll need:
- 4 years of related work experience
- Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and adult training methodologies
- Ability to adhere to the 7S program
- Proven ability to maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices
- The ability to travel up to 75%
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 3 years of management experience
- 2 years of training employees or related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative and visual graphic design ability
- Expert level skills using full Microsoft office suite tools.
- Basic Project Management skills establishing timelines, milestones, and benchmarks
