Axalta is searching for a Warehouse manager to join our team in Houston, TX!
In this role you will:
• Focus on productivity, quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirements.
• Oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility and ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the site.
• Teach, develop and coach team members regarding warehouse operations, including forklift driving certifications, equipment, processes, and technical knowledge of warehouse systems.
• Direct the shipping and receiving of the warehouse operations.
• Implement inventory control measures and cycle counting.
• Guarantee precision, general warehouse maintenance and productivity level.
• Evaluate daily shipment schedules while strategizing and prioritizing a daily work schedule to meet company and customer delivery requirements.
• Create and manage distribution budget, variable expenses, productivity and cost per unit load.
• Ensure efficient utilization of all equipment and the coordination of maintenance needs.
• Maintain and model the 5S Workplace Organization standard; ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed.
• Partner with staff to manage and always maintain appropriate stock.
• Ensure compliance with specified contract metrics.
• Maintain high standards of operational efficiency.
• Ensure quality management system procedures are implemented throughout functional groups.
• Ensure time and attendance is properly maintained, monitored, and approved promptly.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High School Diploma/GED.
• 5 Years of Warehouse Management Experience.
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience.
• SAP Experience required.
• People/Team leadership experience required.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience required.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• SAP/S4Hana experience strongly preferred. EMW module TM modules expertise a plus.
• Working knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a P&L
• Experience with / understanding of current HR practices.
