Position Summary:
Advancia Government Servicesis seeking a qualified Warehouse Specialist who performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's requirements and someone who manages the daily procedures and functions of the warehouse efficiently and effectively. The Warehouse Specialist also performs general warehouse duties which may include moving, organizing, and restocking inventory and processing returns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages,
• Routing materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods,
• Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials,
• Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
• Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Education & KSA Requirements:
Education:
• High School Diploma
• Valid State Driver’s License
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• One (1) year of relevant experience in inventory or warehouse experience
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
• Light groundskeeping and housekeeping around facilities/work area.
• Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
• Ability to safely work in various weather conditions.
• Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
• Requires standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
