- Measure and report the efficiency of warehouse activities and employee performance.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory operations. In the event of inventory discrepancies, the office is notified as soon as possible.
- Identify areas for improvement and establish innovative work procedures and practices or adapt existing ones.
- Keep track of materials, document necessary information, and use reports to ensure warehouse supplies.
- Inspect the general condition and temperature of the warehouse facilities at the time of closing.
- Delegate activities to staff, such as product counting, separation, preparation for inspection (USDA), repackaging, distribution by store, organization according to order, and updating each stage in the Monday system.
- The supervisor must know how to execute each stage of the process from start to finish and can assist different departments in various activities.
- The warehouse supervisor is responsible for all activities related to personnel, such as: creating schedules, assigning activities, monitoring them, and providing documentation and all the necessary materials for the execution of tasks.
- The warehouse supervisor and coordinator are responsible for inventory control and management. They must order and enter new products, when necessary, prepare assigned shipments, reconcile products by expiration date to define shipping priorities, and keep meticulous records of all products in stock. Configure the layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Control the storage conditions of the product. Establish, coordinate, and make optimal operating procedures.
- Comply with all requirements of storage, handling, and shipping legislation. Maintain health, hygiene, and safety standards for personnel.
- Recruit, select, guide, train, and motivate employees. Verify that staff show up at the beginning of their shift, report absences, and train new staff in their tasks.
- Guarantee the accuracy of the documents (Picklist, WH Report, among others) and ensure that they are finalized and delivered to the coordination for subsequent processing.
Production:
- Operate, coordinate, and report the orders processed in the repackaging machine.
- Control and registration of inventory of materials required for the repackaging process.
- Record and document in the corresponding form the information required by item (item #, expiration date, batch #, plant #, required quantity, processing time) in the packaging process.
- Coordinate the review and counting of the materials required in each packaging session.
- Supervise the assembly of the required boxes in each repackaging session.
- Coordinate the securing and cleaning activities of the packaging machine before starting each session.
- Coordinate the machine maintenance plan.
Experience:
- Must have warehouse experience in a warehouse (minimum 5 years).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a supervisor.
- Experience in the food industry.
- Experience with machine labeling and repackaging is a plus.
- USDA Knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge in preparing orders and as a forklift driver.
Skills:
- Problem solver with drive and initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Leadership skills.
- Detail oriented and analytical.
- Demonstrated ability to increase customer relationship.
- Bachelors Degree is a plus, minimum High School graduated.
Certifications:
- Must Have HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
- SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification is a plus.
Salary Range: depends on experience
Schedule: 08:00 am a 05:00 pm.
