Job DescriptionJob Summary:
Experienced warehouse supervisor responsible for planning, organizing, evaluating, and managing all activities at the 3NL warehouse, not associated directly with operations.
Duties will include supervising and coordinating the activities of Material Handlers and Shipping and Receiving personnel. In addition this position will work with the Sourcing and Maintenance department to ensure the proper receiving documentation is entered into company computer system on a daily basis. Manage the daily receiving/shipping schedule to ensure material inventory is met. This includes all inbound outbound shipments for the facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Supervise material handlers responsible for unloading of all inbound raw materials, loading of all waste materials.
- Supervise the loading of rail cars outbound to Meridian.
- Plan and implement material flow procedures to meet production needs. Develop and implement improved warehousing plans for current and future material needs including but not limited to developing the most efficient recipe for blending current and future material streams. This will include inventory controls and procedures.
- Develop and maintain open dialogue with other management to coordinate activities and improve productivity. This includes all internal management at 3NL and other Fiberon location. Provide training for all material handlers ongoing to support production.
- Work closely with 3NL buyers to provide feedback on material quality. This position will be the point of contact to initiate rejections to the suppliers. Will conduct quality check on every load of material purchased prior to being offloaded.
- Directly supervise the implementation of Lean 6S in all parts of the facility, not to include the actual operating portion of the warehouse (“the operation”).
- Supervise the housekeeping of the warehouse to ensure clean and safe operation on a daily basis.
- Responsible for overseeing the safe operation of forklifts and ensure all procedures are followed as they pertain to dock safety.
- Ensure forklift maintenance procedures and forklift cleaning procedures are followed on a daily basis.
- Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to the spirit of total quality and continuous improvement in performing position duties.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred
- 2-5 years warehouse experience
- AS400/CMS experience a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in a lead or supervisor position preferred
- Advanced manufacturing / Kaizen training a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Understanding Excel, Word softwares.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have good phone skills and interact well with others.
