We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Consumer Packaging, Warehouse Operations, Packaging Operations, and Plant Safety. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and ensuring they are carried out efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Ensure efficient space utilization, plan and monitor optimal space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
- Control inventory levels by conducting regular physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on warehouse operations, resources, shipments, and expenditures.
- Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and staff scheduling to ensure warehouse operation runs constantly and smoothly.
- Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, production, logistics, and customer service to integrate logistics with company processes.
- Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements.
- Develop and manage a system for tracking and maintaining records of all warehouse inventory.
- Implement and enforce packaging regulations and standards to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in Consumer Packaging, Warehouse Operations, Packaging Operations, and Plant Safety.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing IT systems.
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
