About the Job
This is an opening for a night shift supervisor opportunity. The shift is a rotating pattern that is two days on, two days off, three days on, three days off and requires every other weekend for availability. The shift is 6:00pm - 6:00am. The first two weeks would be M-F for training.
Supervises daily warehousing operations by coordinating and prioritizing activities for the efficient flow of materials and products through the manufacturing process. Good problem-solving skills needed to resolve routine to moderately complex problems to ensure warehousing activities are carried out according to schedule and established requirements.
This is a challenging role that will require competing priorities along with a high degree of professionalism and discretion. Thoughtfulness and organization will be key whilst working throughout their varying daily tasks.
Planning
· Plans and establishes daily and weekly work schedules and assignments to meet warehouse goals while maintaining SEQCD standards.
· Communicates, trains, and enforces adherence to company policies and procedures.
· Recommend changes to daily procedures.
· Perform other administrative related duties as assigned
Operations
· Coordinates and monitors the flow of materials and finished goods in and out of the warehouse. Confirms completion of daily material movement, shipping and receiving plans and schedules. Monitors finished product packaging. Maintains picking, shipping and receiving records and other related files.
· Supervises physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation processes.
· Submits work orders for warehouse and equipment maintenance or repair.
· May supervise or participate in activities to support Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ).
· May coordinate the pickup and disposal of hazardous waste materials and/or recycling
Business Performance Management
· Tracks and consolidates productivity and quality statistics.
Program Management
· Tracks and consolidates productivity and quality statistics.
· Promotes employee participation in company-sponsored programs. Guides subordinates in the identification, recommendation and implementation of corporate systems and programs such as QMS, EMS, ISMS, SOX and Kaizen/5S within the work unit.
Safety Incident Management
· Responds to accidents and may perform first aid. Conducts initial investigation of accidents, identifies root cause, and submits incident notification to EH&S. Follows procedures for the appropriate reporting and management of safety infractions and/or accidents. May recommend corrective/preventive actions and implement actions determined by manager.
Interaction
· Frequently interacts with functional peer groups in production control, production, quality assurance/control, maintenance, procurement, Ricoh Family Group, vendors and/or suppliers, to resolve issues with the receipt and/or quality of incoming materials; movement and flow of materials to production; and the shipment of finished product to internal/external customers. Has minimal external customer contact. Interaction normally involves the exchange or presentation of factual information.
