Position Summary
The position is responsible for direct oversight of receipt, storage, and shipment of products effectively through the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety
- Manage department compliance to warehouse safety policies
- Dock and trailer safety, Powered Industrial trucks, Fall protection.
- Ensure all daily and quarterly inspections are completed and documented
- Ensure all department staff complete 100% of safety related trainings.
- Manage approved operator registry for powered industrial truck policy.
- Ensure near miss investigations are initiated and completed for all near miss safety incidents.
- Responsible for reporting all safety issues and injuries in compliance with company requirements.
- Maintain inventory of safety related supplies for SSP facility warehouses.
Food Safety
- Ensure all quality and food safety documentation is completed and in compliance
- Manage department compliance to warehouse food safety policies
- Ensure all truck inspections/logs are completed and compliant
- Ensure all department staff complete 100% of food safety related trainings.
- Participate in all facility traceability exercises.
- Audit all material receipts into and transfers between 3rd party warehouses to ensure full traceability compliance.
Inventory
- Assists in cycle count program at SSP to ensure accurate inventory and compliance to BRC requirements.
- Oversee non-inventoried parts count program and supply ordering.
- Responsible for audit of all inventory scrap requests to ensure production materials are issued when necessary:
- Initiate root cause analysis investigations when needed to account for missing inventory.
- Ensure materials requiring scrap are coded to the right account/dept
- Count out/in inventory as needed to keep IFS accurate with lot code information.
- Support Warehouse Manager as needed with additional tasks.
Misc.
- Work with production and planning teams regarding daily productions scheduling, communicating issues/concerns to the larger group.
- Subject matter expert and on-site support/training for Wadaco scanner functions
- Subject matter expert and on-site support/training for IFS transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Assist in efforts to continue supporting the growth and development of associates.
- Conduct employee coaching and disciplinary discussions
- Conduct warehouse department associate evaluations
- Manage department staffing, time cards and time-off requests
