The Warehouse Supervisor will manage all aspects of warehouse operations including inventory accuracy & optimization, space & trailer management, shipping, receiving, picking & staging Work Orders and communication with other departments and teams. The WH Supervisor will manage the warehouse team including Leads and Material Handlers to build a cohesive team that supports all plant supply and logistics needs. The WH Supervisor will be the agent of change and improvement for warehouse, inventory and logistics processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all activities in shipping and receiving functional areas of the Wautoma Plant
- Manage work order picks so that they are done timely and thoroughly to minimize production downtime. Ensure inventory is delivered to the production lines timely and completely.
- Maintain high level of inventory and location accuracy
- Subject matter expert for warehouse management system.
- Ensure put backs are done accurately and timely. Age inventory staging locations and reconcile regularly to ensure accuracy. Assist production with work order reconciliations related to inventory yield issues.
- Ensure scheduling consistencies between scheduling, production, and materials. Communicate any issue immediately.
- Cycle count as appropriate to ensure accurate inventory. Help investigate discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure that all products leaving the plant will meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Implement safety and regulatory programs to assure long term safe operation of the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years previous warehouse management experience, preferably in a dairy processing plant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizations skills.
- Strong working knowledge of computer software applications.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Must be forklift certified.
- High School Degree or Equivalent Required; Bachelors Degree or Equivalent preferred
