Position Summary:
The purpose of the Warehouse Technician is to complete all assigned tasks related to the receiving, shipment, and moving materials and goods and to ensure all work is performed in a safe, timely and quality oriented manner that meets company and customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely complete inbound and/or outbound warehouse tasks such as unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, and packing, with strong attention to detail.
- Ensure products are packed and shipped correctly to meet or exceed customers' expectations for quality and delivery speed.
- Meet safety, quality, productivity, behavior, attendance, and overtime requirements as specified.
- Operate scanning equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA requirements.
- Manually (pallet jack) or mechanically (using a forklift) load and unload materials and products from pallets, skids, platforms, and trucks.
- Perform inventory cycle count as required.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the department supervisor or other management personnel.
Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of recent forklift and material handling experience is required.
- Comfortable working on your feet (steel toe shoes are required in work areas.
- Able to frequently lift, slide and lower packages up to 50 pounds.
- Able to receive feedback and work well in a team environment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- SAP experience with receiving and issuing is a huge plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have forklift experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Inventory cycle count or audit experience.
- Problem solving skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work safely, willingness to train in cross-functional areas, and work overtime as needed.
