Job Title: Warehouse Utility/Maintenance

Department: Operations

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor/Material Planner

JOB SUMMARY

Perform warehouse type duties as assigned. Load and unload trucks. Perform light building maintenance. Deliver trucks to and from our paint shop.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate a forklift to load and unload Aspen’s flatbed truck. Ability to strap loads on the flatbed truck.

Ability to obtain a Class-B CDL with air brake endorsement.

Load and unload freight trucks with a forklift.

Make sure all the walks and areas in front of the doors are clear of snow and ice in the winter.

Keep weeds and grass clear of the loading racks along the fence line.

Wash and keep Aspen Aerials’ company vehicles clean.

Bring truck chassis to scales.

Work in the warehouse to pull parts for shop jobs and put parts away.

Perform light building maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, painting, trash removal and light cleaning.

Pull parts for Sales Orders, package and ship.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick up and drop off components to and from our vendors.

Do special projects in the yard, storage areas and company grounds.

Drive chassis to and pick up chassis from the paint shop.

Deliver parts to and from the warehouse and paint shop.

Assist Warehouse Coordinator by having the ability to pull parts for shop jobs and perform the necessary inventory transactions in the computer system.

Build wood crates to ship oversized parts in.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

Must be able to operate both of Aspen Aerials Fork Trucks and be able to successfully pass the company provided Forklift Training course.

Must have a Class B CDL driver’s license or the ability to achieve one with proper training. Must be able to drive a vehicle with a standard transmission.

Must have a current DOT Medical examiners card the ability to pass the physical required to carry one.

Must be well organized and have a high attention to detail.

Must be a good communicator.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools including but not limited to drills, saws, banding machine, nail guns and basic hand tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office, plant, outside yard (year-round), offsite, in a vehicle and vendor locations.
