Job Description
Morgan Olson, the industry leader in walk-in vans, is seeking candidates to join our Quality team! The main duties of a wash bay inspector are:
Performs all functions involved in identification and documentation of wash bay leak testing while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Ensures that all leaks are reported to quality department for statistical analysis.
Essential Functions and Activities:
- Movement of stepvans into wash bay.
- Maintaining of wash bay cleanliness and 5S
- Initiate automated wash bay cycle via touchscreen interface
- Inspect stepvan interior for leaks from (but not limited to) roof nose castings, transom castings, shelf line rivets, rub rail rivets, joggles, interlocks, etc.
- Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.
- Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
- Other duties as required.
Physical Requirements/Hazards
Job requires extensive standing, turning, twisting, bending, stooping, and kneeling to inspect interior parts of the stepvans. PPE: Steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection. Other PPE such as respirators may be required depending upon the task at hand.
Qualifications:
High School Education or GED preferred
2-3 years automotive related top-coat painting experience.
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite.
