Waste Management Specialist Lead - Navarro Inc.

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Waste Management Specialist Lead in Oak Ridge, TN.

• Ensures all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.  
• Directs waste characterization, storage, and disposition for LWMS.  
• Manages project RCRA/TSCA, low-level waste (LLW), and CERCLA waste storage areas.  
• Communicates with CNS environmental compliance personnel for required environmental notifications and regulatory reporting.  
• Maintains project FMCSR DOT compliance program for drivers and tractors.  
• Coordinates with personnel for transportation of wastewater receipts, characterization, and acceptance.  
• Ships samples to off-site laboratories. 

Requirements

• Shall have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a scientific discipline, or related technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in waste management, environmental compliance, or waste transportation.
• At least one specialist must have proven experience and demonstrated proficiency in wastewater treatment and liquid waste management.
• Experience will include radioactive and hazardous waste characterization, packaging, storage, and disposition in accordance with RCRA, TSCA, DOE Order 435.1, and DOT regulations.
