Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Wastewater Class 3 Trainer to join our team in Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs for wastewater treatment professionals, ensuring they meet the standards required for Class 3 certification. The trainer will develop and implement training materials, conduct classes, and provide hands-on instruction to help participants understand and excel in wastewater management.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery: Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions on wastewater treatment processes, safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Curriculum Development: Develop and update training materials, manuals, and resources to reflect current industry standards and regulatory changes.
Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer tests and assessments to evaluate trainees' knowledge and skills. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Compliance: Ensure training programs comply with Georgia state regulations and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in wastewater treatment technology and methods. Incorporate new knowledge into training programs.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and participant performance. Prepare reports as required.
Support: Provide ongoing support and mentorship to trainees, answering questions, and offering guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
Certification: Must hold a valid Georgia Wastewater Treatment Operator Class 3 license.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, with experience in training or teaching preferred.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of wastewater treatment processes, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of training aids, multimedia tools, and relevant software.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate trainees.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt training methods to meet the diverse needs of trainees.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Training may be conducted in classroom settings, at treatment plants, or other relevant facilities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to conduct hands-on training, which may involve walking, standing, and handling equipment.
